About this vacancy
We are looking for a highly enthusiastic Locum Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry to work at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton. They will work independently and in collaboration with the Consultants in Orthodontics, Restorative Dentistry and South Thames Cleft Clinics. They will be expected to carry to out complex treatments, inhalation sedation and general anaesthesia and to take overall responsibility for the delivery of care to medically compromised, phobic, children with behavioural problems and children who for any reason cannot be treated in primary care.
The Department of Orthodontics, Paediatric Dentistry and Restorative Dentistry is based within the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital which is on the Royal Sussex County Hospital site. This facility opened in June 2007, and benefits from 3 fully equipped treatment rooms (one double chair room and 2 single chair rooms) plus consultant offices, a Specialist Registrars’ office, secretarial office and administration facilities. We also benefit from a fully equipped laboratory, staffed by a team of experienced technicians.
