Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed Pharmacy Technician to join the UHSussex EPMA team.
The role is part of the St Richards and Worthing Hospitals EPMA team, with strong links and joint working with the EPMA team for RSCH and PRH.
Main duties of the job
Provide specialist technical support for the Electronic Prescribing System, the dispensing robot and prescription tracking system (PTS).
Provide users with audit data, safety data or KPIs and assist with the development of BI dashboards.
Support the development and configuration of existing new EPMA functionality and the planning of new releases and software updates.
Assist the training and provision of go-live support for all users during roll out to new areas.
Provide in and out of hours user support and support the EPMA team during complex issues arising during business continuity incidents including any interface downtimes and during software upgrades.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered with GPhC
Desirable criteria
- To have successfully completed the Accredited Checking Technician course or equivalent
Experience
Essential criteria
- Good rotational experience in all areas of hospital pharmacy
- Understanding of the importance of monitoring the quality of pharmacy services
- Ability to retrieve, evaluate and present complex information
- Proficient in the use of the CMM stock control system and EPMA system
- Demonstrates openness to a variety of solutions and has a creative approach to problem solving
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of Patient First Improvement System
- Training of other healthcare staff on electronic systems on a ward or other hospital setting
- Knowledge and understanding of databases, and high general IT competency
- Aptitude for understanding new technologies and learning technical concepts
