Job overview
Glynde Ward is a busy, acute 30 bedded Ward Acute General Medicine. We have an excellent multidisciplinary team approach and work with an exceptional, extended team.
We are looking for experienced Clinical Support Workers, hospital experience is desirable but not essential. A minimum of GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 or Functional skills for English/Maths, Care Certificate and or NVQ2 two in health and social care or the equivalent role. Your role will be to provide delegated clinical procedures such as insertion/removal of cannula, venepuncture, wound assessment and simple dressings, removal of urinary catheter, training will be provided
Successful applicants will be required to complete an Induction course, which will include all the Trust statutory/Mandatory training to join our team inviting them to share their knowledge and experience with the ward; you will need to be well motivated and committed to high standards of patient care and personal professional development.
You must be able to work as part of a team, use your own initiative with effective interpersonal and communication skills, contributing fully as a member of the multi-disciplinary team. We will provide a supportive atmosphere, mentorship and clinical supervision on the unit and are committed to the professional development of all staff. Team working is an integral part of this unit with all staff enabled and empowered to make a real difference for their patient.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 or Functional skills for English/Maths
- Care Certificate
Desirable criteria
- 5 GCSE grade 4 or C and above or equivalent
- Evidence of mandatory and statutory essential training skills, for example, Basic Life Support, manual handling, infection control, fire etc
- Education and training to NVQ level 3/Work based diploma or equivalent
Experience
Essential criteria
- Relevant experience of working in Health or Social Care Environment delivering personal care
Desirable criteria
- Relevant experience working in the NHS
Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to work under instruction from a Registered Professional without direct supervision and support
- Digital Skills, use of systems and ability to use physiological recording equipment and record findings
- Good communication skills and ability to document care episode or event on digital systems or written
- Ability to undertake vital observations and recognise any concerns that require escalation to a registered professional
Desirable criteria
