To provide comprehensive administration and secretarial support to the Adult Safeguarding team to include; · Named Nurse Safeguarding Adults, · Specialist Nurses Safeguarding Adults, · Safeguarding Adult Sister Adult · ESHT Mental Capacity Lead |
The post holder following a robust and timely induction period will mainly work unsupervised, managing own workload, which may include small project work on behalf of the Adult Safeguarding team members.

Essential criteria
- Previous secretarial experience with own responsibility
- Experience of organising and prioritising own workload
- Previous experience and knowledge of internet, email, spreadsheets, databases and relevant NHS Systems
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in a clinical environment
- Experience of working in a confidential environment
- Experience of implementing policies and procedures
- Previous experience of organisation and administration of meetings
- Previous experience working with senior managers / directors
Skills
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality
- Ability to exercise independent judgement and problem solve
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power Point and Access
- Knowledge of NHS
- Knowledge on Safeguarding processes
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Good standard of general education to GCSE grade C or equivalent including Maths and English
- NVQ level 3 in business administration or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
- Recognised computer/typing qualifications, minimum RSA II standard (or equivalent experience)
Desirable criteria
- Advanced computer / typing qualification e.g. RSA III (or equivalent experience)
- ECDL
