Job overview

We are looking to recruit a Staff Nurse to our Team on Pevensey Day Unit which provides treatments to Haematology Oncology patients.

The day area has 18 chair/bed spaces caring predominately for patients receiving Haematology and Oncology treatments and is currently open from 0800 -1800 and 0900 – 19.00 Monday to Friday. The Unit uses the Chemocare electronic prescribing system and has implemented an electronic diary system of booking patient appointments.

Main duties of the job

To participate within the multi-disciplinary team in delivering appropriate safe patient care in a timely fashion working towards the role of Team Leader providing clinical expertise ensuring the delivery of appropriate safe patient care.

You must be a 1st Level Registered Nurse (Diploma/Degree), with generic pre-registration experience in an acute setting with Chemotherapy experience is desirable.
