This is an exciting and unique opportunity for a Specialist Trauma and Orthopaedic Physiotherapist to be part of the clinical delivery and leadership for orthopaedic patients within the Conquest Hospital and their transition into the community. Your primary roles will be to: 

  • enable clinical continuity to improve clinical standards, care pathways and the patient journey 
  • manage complex clinical care in partnership with individuals, patients and carers 
  • utilisation of specialist orthopaedic and discharge skills 
  • be an integral member of the MDT  
  • increase job satisfaction by assisting with supervision and training for the staff and students within the service  

The team consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Associate Practitioners and Therapy Assistants.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

To provide specialist orthopaedic physiotherapy to patients, working within the acute adult and paediatric wards, as part of an inter-professional team. This may also include supporting the delivery of pre- operative and post-operative elective orthopaedic clinics.

Participate as a member of the team, managing a clinical caseload within the clinical standards, guidelines, objectives and procedures of the team. 
This role will require weekend and Bank Holiday working on a rota basis.


To support service improvement and delivery within the trauma and orthopaedic physiotherapy service.
Participate in health promotion and education of staff, patients and families.

The post holder will undertake regular Continual Professional Development (CPD) to support their lifelong learning and map their CPD Portfolio activities.

  • Degree or diploma in Physiotherapy
  • Current registration with HCPC
  • Post graduate qualification or proven equivalent experience / training in a relevant field
  • Evidence of continued professional development

  • Practice Placement Education Certificate.

Experience
