Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Band 6

Job overview

The Children’s Speech and Language Therapy team in Central (Crawley, Horsham and Mid Sussex) are seeking therapists who are ready to build on their previous B5/6 experience in schools and Specialist Support Centres and are eager to make a positive contribution to our hardworking, supportive and friendly team.

In addition to feeling clinically ready to further stretch your skills in assessment, care-planning and therapy, you may be looking towards developing leadership skills. Opportunities to take on additional responsibilities such as; assisting the clinical leads in coordinating caseloads and supporting less experienced staff or taking on other additional roles will appeal to you.

You will be committed to continuing your own professional development using the training opportunities within the Trust as well as relevant specialist external courses so that we can continue to deliver a high quality service to the children, young people and families we support.

You will value the opportunity to work in partnership with parents, colleagues and staff in education and social care settings to achieve the best outcomes for those in your care. You will welcome opportunities to share your knowledge and skills and promote the values of a balanced system approach to service delivery.
