Job overview
To provide a complete and wide-ranging assistant service to the Intermediate Care leadership team: Administrative support to the Intermediate Care units and team leads as required. Ensuring the efficient and professional day to day management of the Intermediate Care Units. · Work alongside the Operational Support Officer (OSO) in a project support capacity, developing work streams and supporting project logs.
· Work alongside the OSO to co-ordinate and improve governance reporting for Intermediate Care.
· Support the IMC Service Manager, Head of Nursing on access to data and information.
· Deputise for the OSO when covering leave
Main duties of the job
- To support the OSO in identify trends in response times and referral patterns and implement plans to maintain patient flow, so assessment is delivered in a timely manner in accordance with key performance indicators, Trust and national targets.
2. To identify and inform the OSO if resources are not being used effectively.
Working with service managers, team leads and clinical/operational lead to correct this if required.
3. To liaise with other services/divisions as necessary to support the core IC activity.
4. To continually review service performance – compiling and analysing data to be presented at internal and external meetings. To identify any shortfalls in service and work with team leads and clinicians on actions plans to address this.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Good general education including English and Maths GCSE grade C or above, or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of personal development
- Recognised relevant qualification such as: customer service, administration, secretarial, IT (e.g. ECDL)
Experience

- Previous clerical/administration experience in a busy environment
- Experience of keeping accurate record keeping and filing systems

- Previous experience of working in the NHS or other healthcare setting
