Job overview
We're recruiting an Administration Assistant on a secondment/fixed term basis, to support the delivery of EmPoweR, our programme to bring a full Electronic Patient Record (EPR) to the Trust.
The successful candidate will support the Programme Team and Workstream Leads by providing high quality administrative support on a range of EPR Programme initiatives, workstreams and engagement.
This will include diary management for senior members of the team and the organisation and administration of meetings.
The post will be based at either Conquest Hospital, St Leonards or Eastbourne DGH with the requirement to travel to other sites as required and opportunities for home/flexible working.
Main duties of the job
We're looking for an Administrative Assistant with good knowledge of administrative procedures and experience of working in a fast paced environment, ideally within the NHS or a large complex organisation.
The role will have contact with a wide variety of stakeholders and so tact and diplomacy are essential, together with the ability to work with high levels of sensitivity and confidentiality.
Our ideal candidate will be able to work on their own initiative, managing their workload and regularly prioritising and planning to meet service need and demands of the role. They will also be expected to work flexibly to provide cover for other team members during times of absence.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Good general level of education to GSCE with C/4 in English and Maths
- Typing RSA level 2
- NVQ level 3 in Business Administration or other relevant qualification

- Shorthand/speedwriting qualification
Experience
