Job overview

The Diabetes and Endocrinology  Department is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to work as a Receptionist/Health Care Assistant within our busy department on a full time basis.

This is a challenging role dealing with patients coming in for a variety of appointments in our department.

You will also support our Co-ordinators with scanning paperwork and answering the telephone.

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following skills:
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Be able to work well under pressure.
* Communicate well with patients and other staff of all levels.
* Be able to operate effectively as part of a team or using your own initiative.

You will be supported by experienced staff whilst working as part of a team delivering a high quality service to patients and other departments within the hospital.

Main duties of the job

  • Greeting patients
  • Checking patients in
  • Answering the telephone
  • Outcoming clinics
  • Supporting clinicians before their clinics
  • Providing HCA support within the department where necessary
  • Scanning documents onto Evolve 
  • Prepping clinics
