Job overview

We are looking for a qualified Sonographer to join our amazing team!

We are an extremely positive and forward thinking department performing all aspects of clinical Ultrasound, including Obstetrics, General, Gynaecology, Vascular, Necks, Baby Hips and MSK. We have good professional working relationships with our  Gynaecology clinics, Fetal Medicine and Early Pregnancy units.  We are a highly skilled and friendly team of Sonographers.

The successful applicant will assist to maintain our efficient US service.

You will be a Sonographer with an Ultrasound qualification to PgC / PGDip or equivalent in one or more of General, Obstetrics and Gynaecology scanning.  Cross site working can be discussed at interview.

Main duties of the job

To be qualified and competent in all aspects of ultrasound undertaken maintaining the highest quality of patient care.

 

To issue independent and accurate clinical reports to referring clinicians and to be responsible for checking own differential diagnostic reports.

 

To participate in providing the day-to-day delivery of an effective high quality and efficient ultrasound service as provided to the Trust by the Medical Imaging Department.

 

To participate in the supervision and teaching of ultrasound to other staff and to participate in audit/research as required by the service.

Maintain the highest quality of patient care in accordance with Trust values.

 

To participate in providing the day-to-day delivery of an effective high quality and efficient ultrasound service as provided to the Trust by the Radiology Department.

 

To participate in the training of ultrasound to other staff and to support in governance, audit and research.
