The Community Forensic Teams has undergone service transformation and an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operational Team Leader to provide maternity cover to the Community Forensic Team.
The post presents as an ideal opportunity for someone who holds a keen interest in leadership with a desire to champion good quality service delivery ensuring a positive patient experience for individuals with complex mental health difficulties, learning disabilities and/or Autism and offending/risk behaviours.
We are seeking to appoint an individual with NHS leadership and management experience. The post holder will provide efficient, dedicated, and compassionate operational management and leadership to the day to day running of the Community Forensic Team.
The successful candidate will support the Service Manager in monitoring performance and productivity for the team. Together with the Service Manager the post holder will provide operational leadership and promote the vision and values of Humber NHS Teaching Trust. The community services are a fast-developing area of provision within the Forensic Division. The successful candidate will be a talented, dynamic and dedicated leader with a passion for service improvement.
Main duties of the job
The appointed Team Leader will be expected to be accountable in their own area of responsibility and will be required to provide strong and effective management and organisational leadership to ensure the delivery of safe evidenced based clinical intervention and practice.
Key responsibilities:
- To be accountable in their own area of responsibility for providing management and organisational leadership.
- To be responsible for achieving and maintaining key performance indicators for service delivery.
- To be responsible for leading and line managing a team of staff within the identified service area, ensuring their continued professional development and clinical competence.
- The role will support clinical colleagues and managers in the clinical delivery of the service.
- To provide organisational management and leadership to the day to day running of the Community Forensic Team.
- Work in partnership with senior/middle managers, heads of profession and other senior clinicians within the organisation and partner agencies.
- To hold up to date knowledge of relevant national and local policies/drivers to enable review of service need.
- Contribute to service/workforce re-design and its implementation, ensuring a needs led service based on best practice.
- To be responsible for all aspects of welfare for their team members, this will include all areas of sickness and absence management together with staff welfare issues that may occur when performing clinical duties.

- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
