Job overview

To work as part of the CT cross sectional imaging team, providing high standards of patient care and an efficient service in the area required by the department.

Be involved in the supervision, training and induction of new Imaging Assistants.

To be responsible for the booking of CT Colonography patients for scans.

Main duties of the job

Applications are invited for enthusiastic and motivated person to join the CT/Radiology department.

We are looking for a friendly team member who are able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and customer care skills along with the ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload and work using own initiative. This role includes patient care, IT, and clerical  duties. Previous experience of dealing with the general public is essential. An understanding and knowledge of computer systems/keyboard skills is essential.

A major part of the role is calling patients and explaining procedures to them and carrying out pre procedure checklists.

You will also be present whilst the procedure is carried out supporting the patient during the examination.

This role will involve contributing to shift patterns covering the 7 day service (including bank holidays).  Flexibility in working patterns is required and the ability to multi-task. 

Applicants must have a good standard of general education to GCSE level or equivalent.
