If you enjoy helping people in a reception office based environment, this could be the role for you.  Candidates will need to be organised, able to solve problems and work to deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. 

Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable nature are essential for this role as you will be the first point of contact for our visitors/patients either face to face or on the telephone. 

 This role is for 15 hours (2 days) per week and a degree of flexibility to cover for annual leave / sickness is expected.

The role is varied, requiring a person with good organisational ability and able to work under pressure at times while providing a positive and responsive professionalism on behalf of the Team.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role will include - 

  • To provide administrative support to the Haltemprice Community Mental Health Team.  
  • To greet patients at reception, deal with telephone enquiries from patients regarding appointments and input data into administration systems, so excellent keyboard skills are required.
  • Good Team working skills are required within the admin team and wider team.

Qualifications & Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Standard keyboard skills e.g. RSA2, ECDL or demonstrable experience 2
  • To have some knowledge of office procedures, clerical/reception work
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ2 or equivalent experiential learning

Experience

  • Experience of working with the general public / reception
  • Knowledge of IT systems

  • Knowledge of Trust IT systems eg ESR, SystmOne, (2)
