Job overview

This is a great opportunity to build your administrative skills while supporting people who use our rehabilitation services.
 
You’ll join a friendly and supportive admin team who help keep our service running smoothly. Your work will ensure patients, carers and colleagues receive clear information, timely support and a positive experience when they contact the centre.

Main duties of the job

What you’ll do:
  • Be the first point of contact for patients, carers and partner organisations
  • Manage calls, messages and routine enquiries with care and accuracy
  • Update and maintain patient records using computer and paper systems
  • Organise diaries, meetings, documents and other daily administrative tasks
  • Support colleagues by sharing information, improving processes and covering duties when needed
What we’re looking for:
  • Level 2 in Business Administration, Customer Service or equivalent knowledge
  • Confident using Microsoft Word and able to learn other digital systems
  • Experience in an office or customer-facing setting
  • Clear communication skills and a calm, respectful approach
  • Someone organised who can prioritise their workload and work well in a team

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Level 2 in Business Administration or Customer Service or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Word processing to OCR 2 standard International Computer Driving License (ICDL) or able to demonstrate appropriate level of skill.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of a range of routine administration procedures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of other Microsoft packages

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience of working in an office environment and carrying out general officer procedures
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of SystmOne functions
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Previous experience of working with general public
