Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen with City Health Care Partnership CIC for an enthusiastic Nurse to join the Community Children’s Nursing Service, working with children and young people with complex health needs, both within Sunshine House and other community settings.
As an integral part of the team, the post holder will demonstrate excellent communication and clinical skills and have recent acute/complex nursing experience, as well as being flexible to work with different staff teams providing nursing care across Hull and East Riding when needed.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a confident, competent Registered Nurse, who is able to lead the nursing team in delivering a short break service in a busy and dynamic environment and to be an integral part of our expanding community children’s service.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse e.g. Child/Learning Disabilities/General
- Evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable criteria
- Teaching Qualification e.g. ENB 998 or equivalent
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Clinical skills competencies
- Knowledge of health care planning
- Familiarity and understanding of child development and complex health needs
- Good working knowledge of electronic care records
Desirable criteria
- Good understanding of the needs of children with complex health needs/life limiting conditions
- Ability to delegate duties and prioritise workload
Experience
Essential criteria
- Post Registration experience in a clinical setting
- Experience of working with children and young people with complex health needs
- Experience of working with families and carers
- Experience of multi-agency working
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of presentation and teaching/training skills

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
