Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual with strong system administration skills to join the IM&T Project team within City Health Care Partnership. It is expected that the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of using information systems. This position is a developmental band 3 post that will be increased to a band 4 post on completion of the competency requirements of the post.

Based at the Business Support Centre in Hull the role may also require you to travel across the East Riding with occasional visits to the Northwest. We are also able to offer hybrid working, allowing our team flexibility to work from home, whilst still maintaining contact with the team by attending the office two/three days per week.

 

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a candidate that can work independently and within a team. The post holder must be able to work to tight deadlines, with a passion for developing Clinical Systems. You must have excellent communication and engagement skills and be both effective and comfortable operating within a fast-paced and demanding environment. Some of the key competencies you will work towards as part of your development role:  SystmOne configuration skills, Interpret system issues raised and explained by system users, Support and train end users in SystmOne, Maintain our call logging system (Manage Engine), Support Data Quality agenda, Learn to discuss and explain complex system issues to employees, Support wider SystmOne work e.g. template creation, questionnaires, protocols, migrations, Develop SystmOne guidance documentation, Help in maintaining SystmOne and eRS systems

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • NQV Level 3 in Business Administration/IT, or equivalent qualification or able to demonstrate this level of skill and experience
Desirable criteria
  • Significant experience with SystmOne

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Able to demonstrate in depth usage of using word processor and presentation software to produce attractive and clear reports and presentations
  • Able to demonstrate in depth usage of using information systems and/or database systems to extract data for reporting purposes
  • Understanding of importance of organisational information systems and data sources
Desirable criteria
  • Good knowledge of SystmOne within a healthcare setting
  • Ability to interpret issues raised and explained by systems users
  • Ability to discuss and explain complex issues to employees

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Relevant Experience in an IT or customer service-related environment
  • Experience of using NHS Clinical Systems (SystmOne, Lorenzo, etc)
Desirable criteria
  • Experience as SystmOne System Administrator (Configuration of SystmOne units)
  • Ability to discuss and explain technical issues to non-technical staff
  • Ability to interpret complex technical problems explained by non-technical systems users
  • Support of IT systems
