Job overview
- Prepare patients, check identity and obtain high‑quality blood samples
- Communicate clearly with patients, carers and colleagues
- Recognise and escalate any concerns about a patient’s wellbeing
- Record information accurately in the Electronic Patient Record
- Maintain clean, safe clinical areas and support stock and equipment checks
Main duties of the job
- Basic phlebotomy training and Level 2 Health and Social Care (or equivalent experience)
- Understanding of confidentiality, infection control and safe working practices
- Good communication skills and confidence interacting with patients
- Ability to organise your workload and use basic IT systems
- Willingness to work flexibly and contribute to service improvements

- Level 2 in Health and Social care or able to demonstrate equivalent level of knowledge, skill and experience
- Care Certificate or willingness to work towards this as part of the induction process
- Basic Phlebotomy training
