Are you interested in working as a rotational Band 5 Physiotherapist in a friendly, dynamic and innovative organisation in the City of Hull and East Riding? We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic Rotational Band 5 Physiotherapists to join well-established therapy teams in Hull and East Riding and is a great opportunity for those newly qualified or want to gain Physiotherapy skills in a community environment.

These rotational posts cover a range of areas and locations including Community Intermediate Care, Intermediate Care bedded units, Community bedded Stroke, Community stroke, Hull and East Riding Falls team, Hull and East Community rehabilitation and MSK. 

 

Main duties of the job

Throughout your role you will work with well-established supportive multidisciplinary teams and receive regular supervision. The therapies and rehabilitation team is proactive in supporting professional development and successful candidates will have access to a range of training opportunities as well as attending a well-established Physiotherapy Development group. The successful candidate will have should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff from all disciplines, whilst maintaining high professional standards.

Please note this is a full time position and will involve working weekends and 8-8pm working on some rotations

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Current HPC professional registration
  • Professional qualification to Degree level
Desirable criteria
  • To undertake post graduate training
  • Develop leadership, training experience/qualification
  • CPD supported by short courses

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • A broad understanding of relevant policy, drivers and their application to clinical and service area
  • An understanding of relevant clinical practice/standards within identified clinical area
  • Basic IT skills
Desirable criteria
  • Full understanding of relevant policy, drivers and their application to clinical and service area
  • Full understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified clinical area
  • Work towards developing specialist skills and knowledge

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) portfolio
  • Evidence of promoting/supporting active user/carer involvement/participation
  • Evidence of pre graduate clinical placements and training
  • Provides advice and guidance to less experienced staff, support workers, students
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the clinical area
  • Evidence of specialist practice skills and able to demonstrate the impact of this on practice change/development
  • Evidence of post registration professional practice
  • Ability to supervise junior staff and students
