Job overview

We are looking for Senior Administrators to join the  Clinical Administration Team at Hull University Teaching Hospital to support our Community Diagnostic Centre services.

The roles will primarily be based at the Wilberforce Health Centre on Story Street, before eventually transitioning to a new facility on Albion Square. There may be a necessity to work from Castle Hill Hospital or Hull Royal Infirmary at times.

As a Senior Administrator, you  will support the administration team to manage the end to end clinical administrative processes associated to the patient pathways, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for both the multidisciplinary team and patients, in order to deliver a high quality administration service, for our patients.

Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role. 

Main duties of the job

Our  Senior Administrators play a vital role in the delivery of patient care via the management of the patients end-to-end pathway and supporting the wider team.  Our roles are varied and challenging and your day to day duties may include;

  • Management of appointments
  • Face to face Patient contact
  • Line management of administrators
  • Responsible for ensuring clinics are fully utilised
  • Helping track our patients through their journey to ensure a great patient experience

With a starting salary of £22,816 per annum/pro rata, with a generous NHS pension scheme and a fantastic annual leave package (27 days annual leave pro rata, plus bank holidays) and offer excellent  opportunities to progress within clinical administration.

Although previous administration experience would be helpful, we are first and foremost looking for individuals with a passion to work in a health care setting and those with a 'can do' attitude. Candidates should possess the following skills;

Qualifications / exp

  • Good standard of general education to GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English Language
