Main duties of the job
Rowan: Our 33-bedded postnatal ward offers a supportive environment for families after birth. The team also runs BCG and NIPE clinics and provides a contraceptive service.

Education/ Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered Midwife with current NMC Registration
- First Level Degree in related healthcare discipline or substantial experiential equivalence
- Evidence of learning beyond registration evidenced by relevant professional portfolio
Desirable criteria
- Master’s qualification in relevant discipline or working towards one
- Professional Midwifery Advocate
- Leadership qualification
- NIPE qualification
Knowledge, Training & Experience
Essential criteria
- Evidence of continuous professional development relevant to the post
- Previous recent experience, of a senior midwifery role
- Understanding of Local Maternity Systems and Maternity Transformation programme
- Experienced in interpreting national guidance into local action
- Must be able to provide a portfolio of clinical/managerial experience:
Desirable criteria
- Change management skills
- Proven track record of partnership working
- Direct Line management experience
- Experience of working at a large acute NHS Trust
