An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Finance Directorate as an Personal Assistant on a six month secondment to cover maternity leave.
We are looking for an organised, proactive and professional individual to provide a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to Directors and Deputy Directors. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the effective day-to-day running of the service, acting as a key point of contact, resolving routine queries independently and supporting with the management of key documentation and audit processes working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational, communication and administrative skills who is able to manage competing priorities and work effectively using their own initiative.
Main duties of the job
- Provide a comprehensive and professional administrative support service to Directors, Deputy Directors and / or operational business units.
- Manage and resolve day-to-day administrative matters independently , escalating issues appropriately when required.
- Act as a key point of contact for senior leaders and operational services, providing information, guidance and support as a appropriate.
- Support the implementation and coordination of agreed projects and service developments.
- Provide professional support and guidance to less experienced colleagues where appropriate.
- Build effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation.

Essential criteria
- Higher National Certificate/Foundation degree/ diploma/NVQ4 in Business Administration/Customer Services or equivalent experience in a wide range of secretarial/administrative/PA role and leading specific projects/information systems
Desirable criteria
- Equivalent experience in a wide range of secretarial/administrative/PA roles.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- RSA III or equivalent advanced keyboard skills
