Job overview

We are pleased to be able to recruit appropriately trained and experienced individuals to the Trust Bank as an expert by experience programme facilitator to contribute to the delivery of the Humber 'Personality Disorder' training programme (formerly the Knowledge and Understanding Framework (KUF) programme), a provision for professionals to develop their understanding of, and skills in working with, individuals with complex emotional needs.

Main duties of the job

As an expert by experience programme facilitator, your main roles will be:

-Contribute to the support/supervision of other experts by experience and experts by profession who deliver the Humber 'Personality Disorder' training programme

-Prepare and deliver the content of the Humber 'Personality Disorder' training programme utilising multi-media resources

-Demonstrate empathy and flexibility in responding to the issues raised by members of the programme's cohorts

-Contribute to the ongoing development of the provision

Qualifications & Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Extensive lived experience in relevant clinical area
  • Has completed KUF/Humber Personality Disorder training as a participant

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Understanding of the importance of equality and diversity.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Lived experience of recovery from distress understood as ‘personality disorder’ or complex emotional needs
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of public speaking
