Job overview

The Children's Hearing service at Basildon Hospital is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the paediatric audiology team.

We are looking for a Band 5 Audiologists to join the paediatric team in a exciting role where you will support children and their families.  This is a ideal opportunity to develop your paediatric skills with a supportive team across the MSE group.

If you are a new graduate, we can offer a strong supportive start to your paediatric audiology career, where you can consolidate your academic learning in a friendly, progressive and inclusive team. We are keen to hear from you to discuss your next career step.

Main duties of the job

The role will encompass all routine diagnostic and rehabilitative aspects of children's audiology.

The post is full time hours over a 4 day week (8am – 5.45/6pm) and works across both Basildon & Orsett Hospitals and the newly developed Thurrock CDC.

We are a networked team, working together across MSE to improve outcomes for children and support fellow professionals across the group.

You will be expected to provide audiological support to the adult service.

You will be fully involved in the decision making process, supporting clinical audits and improvement programmes, and continually striving to improve the department.

This is a forward thinking service, and all staff are expected to be flexible and proactive in their approach to providing a first class service for the hearing impaired population.

Working for our organisation

Our ambition is to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and well being of our patients, and provide a vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers.
