Job overview

The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Fellow (ST6+ level) to join our highly skilled and supportive team. Main duties of the job

As a Cardiology Clinical Fellow at The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre, you will join a team of 9 other specialist trainee registrars, and you will help deliver high quality care to inpatients, interhospital transfer patients and outpatients who require tertiary cardiology services. Where gaps appear in the specialist trainee registrar weekly timetable, there may be opportunity to gain experience in cardiac imaging, coronary intervention, cardiac device implantation and cardiac electrophysiology.

The successful candidate will participate on a 1 in 10 rota to cover the daytime care of patients on the ward and hold the bleep for referrals.
