Job overview

An exciting opportunity to be part of a friendly Front door and Frailty therapy team, as a band 7 Occupational Therapist is available.

You will work as part of a proactive team in a fast-paced, but supportive environment, to help our patients get back home and on the right recovery plans. Our team take a dynamic holistic approach to make rapid decisions to aid in getting the right support in place for our patients and their families.

Main duties of the job

You will provide a specialist Occupational Therapy service for patients attending Accident and Emergency (A&E), other front door areas and the frailty ward.

You will use your advanced clinical reasoning skills to provide specialist support and advice to the integrated therapy team (occupational therapy and physiotherapy) whilst maintaining a clinical caseload of complex patients, as an autonomous practitioner.

You will have a dynamic approach to work and be capable of leading an integrated team, including in times of change, to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient-centred care within the specialty.

You will contribute to the weekend and Bank Holiday rota.

We expect all staff to demonstrate our Trust values being Respectful, Compassionate and Excellent
