Job overview

Here at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust we are seeking an experienced Staff Nurse  to work in Paediatric Outpatient's at our Basildon Hospital site and Billericay Health Centre.

The appointable applicant will will be responsible for the effective running of Paediatric Clinics including Diabetes, Oncology, Sickle Cell, Surgical, Cardiology and Endocrine Clinics working alongside a dedicated team of Paediatric Consultants and Paediatric Nurses.

Main duties of the job

-Running of the paediatric outpatients department.


-Support the phlebotomy service and provide venipuncture to the service user.


-Promote good communication channels amongst staff enhancing good team work 


-Undertake daily checks of equipment and report when faulty 


-To carry out nursing duties as requested by the senior team


-To deputize for senior team when required or necessary


-To maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
