Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.
Within Mid and South Essex there are 149 GP practices, operating from over 200 sites, forming 27 Primary Care Networks and one Ambulance Trust. There are also three main community and mental health service providers who work together through a community collaborative.
We collaborate with other valuable partners, including three Healthwatch organisations, nine voluntary and community sector organisations and three top tier local authorities, with seven district, borough and city councils, as well as our local universities.
Job overview
The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the Outsourcing team as part of the wider RTT recovery actions for the Trust
The post holder will have delegated responsibility for a range of activities, working autonomously using initiative and their specialist knowledge and experience to make decisions.
The post holder will oversee the smooth running of a highly functioning, expert team of Outsourcing staff, ensuring standard operating procedures are followed, ensuring achievement of all KPI's and all systems updated with the relevant patient updates.
The post holder will be responsible for working closely with ISPs to ensure capacity is utilised and triage responses from the ISPs are updated on internal systems
They will be responsible for providing regular updates and the escalation of issues which hinder delivery of a smoot patient pathway.

The successful candidate will possess the skills and key competencies to support the needs of the department, as stipulated in the person specification.
You will need to be organised, diligent and have patient care as your primary concern. You should have a good understanding of RTT rules as well as awareness and understanding of other national targets.
You will be required to have a professional and mature working attitude, and an ability to liaise with patients and staff.
