Job overview

Are you able to provide specialist therapy assessment and treatment for a defined caseload of patients within St Andrews Therapy Department, delivering a high standard of care and maintain high professional standards?

Can you assess and treat own caseload of patients as part of Multi-disciplinary Team provide Hand Therapy in a specialist Burns and Plastic Surgery Centre, contributing to service development and participates in Clinical Audit and research?

Main duties of the job

Are you interested in a varied and rewarding career in a specialty area? We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join our established team within Burns, Plastics and Hand Therapy.

We currently have a vacancy in our hand therapy team, delivering clinical interventions both face to face and virtual appointments to a wide range of patients under the management of our plastic surgery, and orthopaedics consultants. 

The post will give the successful candidate an opportunity to experience different aspects of the specialty, and there is scope to rotate across other areas of Burns and Plastic Surgery in the future.

Depending on previous experience, the post could be available to a Band 5 applicant who can work towards competencies with the support of senior staff.  Full training will be given.
