Job overview
To Participate in symptomatic and assessment clinics at the static unit and in screening mammography at both the static and mobile units.
Main duties of the job
1. To undertake screening/other mammography in line with national and local protocols at either the static unit or mobile unit as arranged.
2. Assist in interventional procedures – core biopsies, localisations etc – as required, including preparation of procedure trolley and support of patient undergoing procedure.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- BSc Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equilevent / Post graduate certificate in Mammography
- Current HCPC registration
- Evidence of CPD
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience in breast screening and symptomatic services
- Experience of QA procedure and processes
Skills
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of a breast screening programme
- Computer literate
- Understanding of IR (ME) R and other legislation relevant to the post
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload and work well under pressure with accuracy and speed and deal with stressful situations
Desirable criteria
- Be able to perform screening mammography within a specified time constraint
