Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Generic Worker interested in therapy to join Felixstowe Community Hospital working on the ward which specialises in the rehabilitation of patients, and facilitating safe and effective discharge of patients to various destinations. The hospital also holds a number of dedicated delirium beds.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and well-motivated Therapy Generic Worker. You will take a key role supporting the Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist on the ward at Felixstowe Community Hospital. Under direct guidance from the Therapists the you will facilitate and implement rehabilitation and assist in equipment assessment and provision.

We have two working patterns available and we welcome candidates to indicate in their application which pattern they would prefer;
4days at 7hrs a day plus 30mins lunch
= Mon, Tue, Thur and Friday 0830 – 1600
Or, a 27.5hrs contract over 5 days
5 days at 5.5hrs plus lunch
= Mon - Fri 0900 - 1500
Main duties of the job
- To assist in the delivery of high standards of healthcare to patients within their own homes and in clinics, by carrying out planned care.
- To provide high standard of care to the patients whilst promoting independence and respecting their privacy and that of their families.
- To undertake delegated assessments and deliver healthcare for patients.
- To work alongside the integrated team to prevent unnecessary admission to hospital.
- To work with all health care professionals, and statutory/non statutory agencies to provide a seamless, integrated service to our service users.

- QCF Care Certificate or equivalent knowledge and experience, or working towards an Apprenticeship
