Job overview
To provide a professional financial accounting service to the Trust in compliance with accounting rules and good practice guidelines
Main duties of the job
· To assist in the smooth and efficient operation of the financial accounting function, the maintenance of accurate financial records and the preparation of financial statements.
· To provide support with maintaining the charitable funds financial records
· Maintaining good working relationships with Senior Management, Budget Holders and Health Service professionals.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
· Assist in updating and preparing charitable fund statements on an accruals basis, support with preparing working papers, support with preparing any adjustments
· Support with sending statements to charitable fund holders, supported by relevant expenditure analysis as required.
· Support the Financial Accounting Team to provide financial support and advice to service managers, including the Welfare team, and Charitable Fund budget holders.
· Respond to and resolve queries from charitable fund budget holders, seeking assistance and support from others when necessary.
· To assist the department with the completion of month end tasks, including assigned reconciliations and other ad hoc tasks.
· Produce and input journals onto financial systems to ensure expenditure in the Ledger is recorded accurately and supported by full working papers.
· To assist with the agreement of balances process
· To assist with the preparation of the year end statutory accounts and working papers.
· Liaise with other teams within the finance department to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of financial information.
