Job overview

We are looking for a proactive organised and approachable ward administrator to support the smooth day to day running of our intermediate care rehabilitation ward in Halstead.

This is a varied role combining administrative duties with responsibility for maintaining a safe and well organised ward environment.

The post holder will play a key role in supporting the nursing and multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective systems high standards of organisation, and a positive experience for patients and their families.

 

 

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities

·        Provide comprehensive administrative support to the ward team, including scanning, fling and maintaining accurate patient records on electronic systems.

·        Ensure documentation is processed, stored and accessible in line with organisational standards and policies

·        Support data collection reporting and information gathering required for audits and service monitoring

·        Assist in the co-ordination of ward activities, including meetings, training sessions and reviews

·        Monitor order and maintain appropriate levels of clinical and non-clinical stock

·        Ensure stock is stored safely and appropriately in line with policies and procedures.

·        Support stock rotation

·        Report faulty equipment and escalate as per policy

·        Assist with any non-clinical tasks that enable clinical staff to focus on patient care

·        Provide accurate records and information to support governance processes

·        Undertake mandatory training as required

·        Maintain an understanding of organisational policies, procedures and protocols relevant to the role
