Job overview

The role holder will be one of a growing number of Practice Educators working at PAHT. They will work closely with the ImageEast Network and be responsible for planning, organisation, delivery and assessment of the educational and training programmes across the CT services at PAHT. The role holder will be expected to be proactive in leading on CT educational matters, including performing training needs analyses across both sites and producing a training and education plan to respond to identified training needs. The role holder will also help set standards for practice in liaison with the CT Modality Lead, CT Clinical Specialist, and CT Superintendents.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will split their clinical responsibilities with their practice education role.

The role will predominately work to provide a CT radiography service as well as all aspects of training and education in CT. The role will be based across both services at the acute site at Princess Alexandra Hospital and the new CDC hub site at St. Margaret’s Hospital. This is a new role within the department so the responsibilities may change as the service develops. A primary focus for training will be the junior radiographers who rotate trough CT as part of their development. The post holder will also prioritise refresher training for senior radiographers in CT as well as advanced training for specialist scanning.
