Job overview
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, well-motivated and experienced administrator to work with our Haematology Stem Cell Transplant team at Ipswich Hospital. This post is part time, 12 hours per week and there is flexibility for these hours to be worked across the week.
As a Data Administrator you will be expected to focus on ensuring all data is collected and accessible to the Stem Cell service. You will possess
experience of working with clinical systems, have excellent communication skills, work flexibly in a team and have the ability to convey information clearly.
Main duties of the job
You will provide efficient and effective data collection and data input in line with JACIE (Joint Accreditation Committee-ISCT & EBMT) accreditation in relation to the Bone Marrow Transplant and Stem Cell services. This may require the creation and maintenance of accurate manual and electronic data collection system, ensuring the service reporting requirements are met.
Provide administrative support to the Haematology Team, including Quality Manager, Clinicians and Clinical Nurse Specialists where you will be the focal point for information requests and queries. Administrative tasks may include answering phone calls, organising meetings, collation of agenda items, completion of meeting notes and minutes and documentation preparation for review.

Essential criteria
- GCSE English, Maths grade C/4 or above or equivalent.
- NVQ Level 2 in administration or equivalent experience
- Competent IT skills including Word, Outlook and Excel
Experience

- Experience in an administrative role
- Experience of organising own workload to time specified deadlines.
- Experience of dealing with people in sensitive / confrontational situations
Desirable criteria
- Involved with project work and data collection
- Previous experience working in the NHS.
- Experience in minute taking.
