We are looking for a enthusiastic, flexible, and well-motivated Deputy Sister/Charge nurse to join our amazing team on Shotley Ward. You will work as a senior member of the multi professional team, undertaking patient assessment to determine clinical need, plan and implement patient care, and discharge with the sole aim of meeting the needs of both the patient and their family.
You will have the opportunity to have a positive impact on the standard of care that our patients receive. In addition to this you will help to develop and influence the careers of others within the team. You will possess excellent communication skills, show patience and understanding, and be able to demonstrate recent professional development.

Main duties of the job
To be responsible, with the guidance of the Ward Sister for providing leadership and teaching within the Unit environment.
Through knowledge, good example and education, enable unit staff to deliver high quality, individualised care.
To provide support and supervision of nursing staff, and effectively coordinate and deploy resources within the Unit.
