Job overview
We are looking for a well-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Pharmacy Procurement team within the Hospital Pharmacy Department, to work part time, 18 hours per week. These hours can be worked flexibility between Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00.
You will be working as a Procurement Officer which involves working with in the Pharmacy Procurement team and working closely with all other sections of the Pharmacy Department. In this role you will be part of a busy team within a large Hospital Pharmacy Department.
For this role you will thrive in a busy and active environment, have good communication skills both on the phone and face to face and will adapt positively to change and be able to be flexible in their working day. You will need to be IT literate and have knowledge of Microsoft office including Excel as you will be working with the e-Commerce systems in conjunction with excel spreadsheets and the Pharmacy stock management software Wellsky.
Main duties of the job
- Process Invoices for payment in the Pharmacy stock control system.
- Reconcile delivery notes/credit notes against invoices and the computer generated orders.
- Maintain all relevant systems for the procurement section in conjunction with the pharmacy computer system and to help maintain an efficient and effective medicine ordering service.
- Liaise with Pharmaceutical companies over invoice discrepancies and purchasing queries.
- Maintain the procurement filing system.
- Participate in the investigation of overdue deliveries and queries and to liaise with Pharmaceutical companies regarding these.
