Job overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Pelvic Health Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Ipswich Hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients with pelvic health conditions, including but not limited to incontinence, prolapse, pelvic pain, and post-natal recovery.
As a Band 7 Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, you will work autonomously and as part of a dynamic team to provide high-quality care and support for patients across East Suffolk.

This is currently a fixed term post until the end of March 2026.
Main duties of the job
Assess and treat patients with pelvic floor dysfunction and musculoskeletal obstetric conditions.
Act as Team Lead for the supporting the clinical lead with service development and data collection.
You should have proven experience of working in pelvic health physiotherapy and involvement in service development.

Essential criteria
- Proven post registration experience with relevant care group.
- Advanced competencies relevant to care group.
- Experience of managing complex and/or highly specialist cases
Desirable criteria
- Experience of managing and supervising the work of others
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered physiotherapist with HCPC
- Professional knowledge and skills underpinned by theory and experience, acquired through degree.
Desirable criteria
- Registered member of Chartered Society of physiotherapy
- Supplemented by specialist training, experience in specialist field.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of a broad range of assessments including specialist relevant to the specialist care group and the relative benefits of each
- Knowledge of a range of advanced therapeutic interventions relevant to the care group including the relative benefits of each and the comparative outcomes.
- Awareness of national guidance relevant to own specialities, including, consent issues, and other legal frameworks relating to care group
- Understanding of the roles of other professionals.
- Knowledge of standards of record keeping.
