Job overview

We are looking for a Health Care Support Worker, who will work within a community nursing team based in clinics in Braintree, Maldon and Chelmsford, supporting adults with the management of leg ulcers. This role would suit a candidate with experience or interest in wound care.

This involves assisting the registered staff in ensuring appropriate pathways of care for patients who require those services.

To contribute to the assessment and the treatment of individual patients on the caseload and communicate any changes in care needs to the registered staff.

To communicate with patients, relatives, carers and health care professionals to assist the registered staff in ensuring an integrated, holistic approach to patient care.

Main duties of the job

  • Able to work alongside a multidisciplinary group of health professionals.
  • Able to work independently and autonomously undertake clinical and non-clinical tasks.
  • Possessing observational and communication skills which complement your role.
  • Possess basic computer skills.
  • Willing to develop in your role and adjust your responsibilities as the service grows and transforms.
  • A car driver with access to a car.
