This post will play a key role at an exciting time for the Business Analysis and Reporting team. It will be pivotal in delivering robust change control and data design practices, underpinning consistent and high quality data that represents a single source of truth across our performance and insight endeavours.

Main duties of the job

This role requires exceptional organisation skills to ensure multiple data quality initiatives are progressed concurrently, in tandem with supporting the implementation and embedding of data design and governance standards across the department.

A pro-active attitude to identifying and addressing data quality improvement opportunities will be essential to the success of this role and the impact it has on the performance and insights produced by the department.

Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings. Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.

All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

-          Responsible for the regular production of data quality reports that provide clear actions for the improvement of patient data and the teams responsible, to affect both national data submissions and team reporting and insight solutions.

-          Develop dashboards in collaboration with the Performance and Insights team that enables services to view and address the data governance and compliance issues they are responsible for.

 

-          Support the promotion of data governance policies to support the single view of data.

-          Responsible for supporting the maintenance of the data dictionary and associated KPI library, which ensures that the Operational Reporting and Performance and Insights teams have a shared common source for report and insight production that is aligned with Operational Services and contractual expectations.

-          Support the Data Governance Manager ensure that data models are implemented effectively, with a view towards creating models that support self-service informatics.

-          Support initiatives to improve data quality, stewardship, literacy and compliance across the organisation.

-          Support the change control processes, managing the log, producing reports to keep all stakeholders sighted.

-          Responsible for documenting procedural instructions to support team knowledge sharing and business resilience, in a clear and transparent manner.

-          Responsible for identifying and escalating areas of data quality for improvement.

-          Responsible for ensuring that data recorded and used is accurate, and compliant with data governance policies and procedures.

-          Promote the use of data governance policies to support the single view of data.

-          Support the maintenance of the data dictionary and associated KPI library, which ensures that the Operational Reporting and Performance and Insights teams have a shared common source for report and insight production that is aligned with both Operational Services and contractual expectations.

-          Facilitate version control and change management to the data models supporting clear and consistent alignment for all reporting across the department.

-          Support the submission of highest quality data flows, nationally and locally with partners and commissioners, through robust feedback mechanisms to improve quality at source.

  • Good oral communication skills based on fluency of the English language
