We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven e-Commerce & New Goods Manager to join our vibrant trading team. Based at our Short Street site in Southend-on-Sea, you’ll play a key role in shaping and growing the online retail arm of our charity – helping us raise vital funds while developing innovative ways to drive online sales.

In this pivotal role, you’ll lead and inspire our talented e-Commerce team, overseeing the day-to-day management of our online retail operations across platforms like eBay, Vinted, and others. You’ll use your experience in digital sales and trading to boost revenue, maximise profit, and create an exceptional online shopping experience that reflects the values of our organisation.

We’re looking for someone with:

Proven experience managing online sales platforms (e.g., eBay, Vinted)

A background in managing teams within a trading or retail environment

Strong commercial awareness and the ability to work confidently to sales targets

An analytical mindset, with experience producing and interpreting financial reports

This is more than just a retail role – it’s a chance to be part of something meaningful, combining your commercial expertise with purpose. As we continue to grow our digital presence, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of our e-Commerce strategy and be part of a supportive, passionate team.

Flexibility around occasional weekend and bank holiday work may be required during peak trading periods.

If you’re ready to lead with energy, creativity, and impact – we’d love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you’ll take the lead in sourcing and procuring new goods for both our online and in-store retail channels, working closely with our wider retail teams to drive stock generation, e-commerce promotions, and customer engagement initiatives.

You’ll also be responsible for shaping and delivering a forward-thinking e-Commerce strategy focused on growth, innovation, and diversification. From identifying new product opportunities to optimising the customer journey and increasing traffic to our platforms, your work will be central to expanding our digital retail presence and achieving our long-term vision.

As part of this role, you’ll also lead and manage a small, dedicated e-Commerce team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while inspiring performance, creativity, and collaboration.
