Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant post in Stroke medicine. This is a replacement post following retirement of the previous post holder. You will join in as part of an enthusiastic team of 3 Consultant full time Stroke Consultants based at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford. Participation in the General Medical on call rota could also be accommodated
The department provides specialist Stroke services to a population of 350,000, with a 24/7 thrombolysis service and 32 Stroke beds. The Trust was recently recognised as the top performing stroke service in the country for ensuring that patients access the stroke unit in four hours.
We are based in a newly enhanced integrated hospital site, with excellent links with community services. Broomfield Hospital also has strong links with Anglia Ruskin University’s Science Campus and London-based research & educational networks.
The Trust has a reputation for providing high quality well-structured care in a friendly and supportive environment. We are looking for dynamic colleagues with enthusiasm and leadership qualities. You should be able to lead a multidisciplinary team. You are required to be in possession of your MRCP, licensed and fully registered with the GMC and be on the Specialist Register for both General Medicine and Stroke or within six months of achieving this.
