Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Receptionist/Administration and Data Input Officer within EPUT , based at The Harland Centre, Westcliff-On-Sea. The role will require the successful applicant to predominantly be based at The Harland Centre and then cover across various sites throughout our region in a reception capacity. Additionally, covering administrative services based within our Rochford Hub.
The Harland Centre helps older adults with mental health problems, including dementia. They support people living in the community by offering assessments, treatment, and ongoing care to improve their well-being and quality of life.
- We are looking for someone with a positive and compassionate approach to supporting patient care. The role will include face to face contact with vulnerable patients.
- Making and taking patient telephone calls.
- Providing accurate input of confidential data onto our frailty register
- The successful candidates will be expected to work in the organisation, providing services in a professional, efficient, friendly and polite manner.

Main duties of the job
This position involves a two-pronged approach to responsibilities;
The underlying responsibility of this role is accurate and timely data entry to maintain and update our frailty register, ensuring compliance.
Alongside this, you will provide on site reception support, including front of house duties and administrative assistance for our wider services. This ensures smooth day to day operations and an excellent experience for service users.
You will also be required to handle queries from multi-disciplinary clinical staff, service users, and managers in a polite and efficient manner. This includes receiving and managing telephone enquiries, responding appropriately to callers, and offering support to high risk and vulnerable clients and their carers.
This role demands strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance structured data tasks with dynamic service support.

- You will deal, face to face, with patients and families seeking further help/information and need to be aware of the needs of the clients.
- You will exchange confidential and/or sensitive information between staff, patients, and carers in person or on the telephone. The unpredictability of patients means that persuasive, reassuring, empathic, skills are required at all times.
- Depending on the individual, there may be scope for involvement in additional administrative duties for the right candidate.
