Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Band 3 Community Generic Worker working within the Woodbridge Integrated Neighbourhood Team. We are a busy dynamic team who actively support staff new to the community.

The Woodbridge Integrated Neighbourhood Team is based at Unit 7-9 Riduna Park, Melton, Woodbridge, IP12 1QT.

You will be required to work across the Woodbridge area, and the wider community services to meet service requirements.

The team consists Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, District & Community nurses, Assistant practitioners, generic workers and social care workers. The Therapy team is led by a Band 7 Therapy Lead with an INT manager managing all teams within the INT.

Main duties of the job

To provide high standard of care to the patient whilst promoting independence and respecting their privacy and that of their families

To undertake delegated assessments and deliver healthcare for patients

To work alongside the integrated team to prevent unnecessary admission to hospital

To work with all health care professionals, and statutory/non statutory agencies to provide a seamless, integrated service to our service users.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • QCF care certificate or equivalent knowledge and experience or working towards an Apprenticeship
  • Experience of working with the general public
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
  • Experience of working within a care setting

Knowledge / Skills / Ability

  • Keyboard skills and knowledge of SystmOne
