Job overview

There are three full‑time vacancies available: two supporting the Surgery Division and one supporting the Medicine Division. For more information, please contact Angel Masih Flynn ([email protected]) regarding the Surgical roles, or Ben Hidvegi ([email protected]) for the Medicine position.

As an Information Analyst, you will provide high‑quality information and analysis to the organisation and external stakeholders within either the Surgical or Medicine Division. You will work closely with clinicians and senior managers to understand their needs, develop effective reporting tools, and deliver insights that support informed decision‑making. The role requires strong engagement skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to build positive relationships that help improve patient care.

This is an exciting time to join the GHFT BI team. We have received national recognition—including the Health Tech Newspaper Award for Best Use of Data (2020) and AphA’s Analytical Team of the Year—and are progressing rapidly with our Digital BI strategy. Our future plans include expanding the use of machine learning and predictive analytics, offering excellent opportunities for personal and professional development.

We offer hybrid working arrangements following a qualifying period, supporting flexibility within a friendly and collaborative team.

Please note: this vacancy may close early if sufficient applications are received.

Main duties of the job

These roles are based within the Business Intelligence Unit at Gloucestershire Hospitals Foundation Trust. The ideal candidates will have strong analytical capabilities, along with the ability to effectively communicate and present complex information to a range of different stakeholders. The candidate will need to be able to work under pressure and be able to prioritise their own workload when there are conflicting deadlines.

We are therefore looking for analysts who have a drive and passion for delivering an exemplar BI service.  Individuals who are both forward thinking and solutions orientated.
