If you want an important role within the NHS, can act quickly, use your initiative and are excited by a challenge then the Urology Team could be looking for you.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Admissions Coordinator to manage the waiting lists within the Urology Department at Cheltenham General Hospital. The successful candidate will be required to be a key member of the Admissions Team, providing a professional and high-quality service at all times
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide essential support in ensuring all Urology patients are booking timely and efficiently, and support the Urology Team in ensuring compliance to national performance targets. They will need to use IT systems to book patients, communicate with a wider range of staff internal and external and liaise with patients and relatives. Very good communication skills is a prerequisite for this role due to the nature of the work and how you will interact within the team.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Good General Education (e.g. GCSE English and Maths A-C) GCSE Level 9-4
- Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in an administrative environment
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office packages (eg. Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Experience of dealing with the Public/Customer service experience
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in Healthcare
- Experience of working in a busy environment
- Experience of managing surgical waiting lists Knowledge and experience of 18wk RTT pathway
