Job overview

This full time post within the General Surgery Department will cover a wide range of activities. 

We are looking for a dedicated candidate for the post of Foundation Doctor in General Surgery. Primary objectives are to obtain high quality clinical and research experience, meeting the increasing needs of the General Surgery department at the Glan Clwyd Hospital.

You will also be expected to keep up to date with general administration.

Main duties of the job

The Foundation Year 1 will be expected to participate in ward rounds, clinics and in the operating theatre. The junior doctor accepts that he/she will also perform duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances at the request of the appropriate consultant, in consultation where practicable with his colleagues, both senior and junior.
