We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, organised, and enthusiastic individual to join the Finance Team at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Management Accountant. The successful candidate will work within a small, supportive, and professional team as part of the wider finance function. In this role, you will act as the Management Accountant for the Surgery Division, working closely with colleagues based across both the Winchester and Basingstoke sites. The Finance Team is primarily based in Basingstoke and operates a hybrid working model. The team works collaboratively to support the Trust’s strategic aims and is encouraged to take a proactive and innovative approach to continuously improving processes and ways of working.
The HHFT Finance Department is committed to developing its workforce and actively supports staff in studying toward CCAB or other recognised professional accountancy qualifications. The Trust offers financial support for course fees and provides study leave for those enrolled in the staff training programme.

Essential criteria
- Ability to prioritise own workload
- Good customer care skills
- Ability to work autonomously using own initiative, and as a member of a team
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise, organise and plan own workload
- Ability to work to tight timescales whilst maintaining adherence to accuracy
- Flexible attitude movement within the three main hospital sites may be required

- Ability to use other windows packages such as Power-point and Access.

- Member of an accountancy professional body
- Educated to degree level education or equivalent experience

- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office – Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Experience of working with range of budget holders
