This is an exciting and unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Hepatobiliary Research Nurse / Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team and play a key role in delivering and developing specialist care and research within the hepatobiliary service across all sites of HHFT.
You will be a passionate advocate for high-quality, patient-centred care, supporting patients throughout their diagnostic, treatment, and research journey. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the advancement of clinical practice through research, innovation, and evidence-based care.
Main duties of the job
Provide research nursing input into clinical research studies.
• Co-ordinate a group of patients enrolled in research studies.
• Support and maintain a framework to lead, deliver and support clinical supervision, mentorship and education for all staff and students.
• Work according to GCP and research governance standards for clinical trials.
• It is expected that the post holder will also provide non-specialty assistance to other Research Nurses/practitioners conducting clinical research.
Act in accordance with the Code of Conduct/Professional Practice Standards of your profession e.g. NMC, HPC etc.
• Maintain own professional development, maintaining a personal portfolio.
• Identify own needs for clinical supervision and the most appropriate way to implement this.
• Understand and adhere to Trust policies and procedures.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Adhere to the Code of Conduct/Professional Standards of your Profession e.g. NMC or HCPC.
• Embrace and implement the vision and values of HHFT
