FIXED TERM POSSIBLY UP TO 12 MONTHS TO COVER COVID 19-  ASSOCIATE PRACTIONER POST   

“These posts will enable the department to maintain its testing regime for all patients being screened for SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19 testing) and as such you will be joining our current staff in providing this as well as other tasks which will involve the running of analysers including maintenance, reagent preparation, quality control, reporting of results, troubleshooting analyser and result issues.”

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with Hospital laboratory experience or potentially a IBMS accredited degree to join the Blood Science Laboratory at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital Winchester.

Your work will ensure that the department delivers a high quality, timely and effective UKAS-accredited service, where patient experience and safety is central.

The successful applicants will be excellent communicators who enjoy working in a busy, complex environment with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

The roles will require post-holders to be flexible and highly organised, able to align their values with those of the organisation, have the ability to work as part of a team with a ‘can-do’ positive attitude.

Ability to work flexibly across a 7 day week, 12 hour day will be required.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
